FAQ
7. What will I be required to do?
This particular journey is unique in that you will work on 3 very different projects and have 3 diverse experiences. There are no particular skills required only compassion, flexibility, laughter and caring. The specific jobs that you are asked to do are very dependent on the needs at the time and vary from week to week. In general you are going to adjust in the work routine of the particular project.
At no point will you be asked to do anything you are not comfortable with or out of your skills range. We will assess your needs/skills before your arrival in order to channel you into areas that are best suited to you.
All 3 projects are organic, changing and growing every day. We spend on average 5-7 days at each project and you will be dealing with, young kids, teenagers, adults and animals. For these reasons you will be required to partake in any number of activities, from building, teaching, playing, food preparation, crafting to caring and story telling.
While staying at School Trade, you will be asked to partake in a cultural exchange class in the schools. This will be under the guidance of the school teacher and a School Trade member. You will tell the kids your story, where you are from, what you like to eat, facts about your country etc.
At each of the projects there will be always someone to advise and guide you.
