16. What are the emotional aspects?

Throughout your journey you will be in contact with people and animals in need. The environments in which you will find yourselves will be harsh and unfamiliar. It is often difficult for volunteers to remain emotionally detached from the children and animals that they come into contact with.

It is precisely for these reasons that we have set aside reflection time for you to process what you have experienced.

We encourage you to reach out to all you come in contact with and not to show favouritism.
